Knights of Dol AmrothA guild of The Two Towers

Who We Are

The Knights of Dol Amroth serve in the army commanded by Prince Imrahil. Our guild is a large regiment of that army, ordered to remain in Dol Amroth to guard the city, its castle, and the fiefdom of Belfalas from the Corsairs of Umbar and their allies, the Haradrim.

Our leader holds the title of Lieutenant of the Southern Guard, one of Prince Imrahil's trusted lieutenants. The Lieutenant serves as Guildmaster of the Knights of Dol Amroth and answers to the Prince himself.

Our goals and our founding words are set down in the Charter, and our way of life is governed by our Code of Honor. Every member, from the newest Pledge to the Guildmaster, is expected to live by it.

Roleplay and Fellowship

We are a roleplaying guild. Members are expected to take an interest in our theme and to carry themselves as soldiers of Dol Amroth would. Just as important, we are a fellowship: experienced members train newer ones, parties set out together, and every rank has a part to play in strengthening the order.

The Two Companies

The Knights of Dol Amroth are divided into two Companies, each named for one of the colors of the swan banner. The Guildmaster assigns every member to a Company, and each Company watches over its own areas of the realm.

Blue Company

Led by its Captain, Vornast.

Silver Company

Led by its Captain, Davian.

Leadership

  • Guildmaster and Lieutenant of the Southern Guard Erlend
  • Captain of the Blue Company Vornast
  • Captain of the Silver Company Davian
  • Recruiting Officer Vacant

Captain is a position rather than a rank. Captains are chosen from among the Knights. To learn more about how members advance, see the Ranks.

While the post of Recruiting Officer is vacant, those who wish to join should contact Erlend in the game.

The Charter of the Knights of Dol Amroth

The Knights of Dol Amroth serve in the army that Prince Imrahil commands. Our guild is part of this army, a large regiment that has been ordered to stay behind in Dol Amroth to guard its city, the castle, and the fiefdom of Belfalas from invading Corsairs from Umbar and their allies, the Haradrim. The leader of the Knights of Dol Amroth is the Lieutenant of the Southern Guard, one of Prince Imrahil's trusted lieutenants. The Lieutenant of the Southern Guard is the Guildmaster of the Knights of Dol Amroth and answers to Prince Imrahil.

Our Goals

The Knights of Dol Amroth strive to achieve specific goals.

  1. Unite honorable Dúnedain.
  2. Promote good causes and honorable conduct.
  3. Aggressively defend Southern Gondor.
  4. Eliminate the Enemy's forces whenever possible.

Our Code of Honor

Our way of life is strongly governed by our Code of Honor, which states that the Knights of Dol Amroth will:

  1. Swear fealty to Belfalas and the Prince of Dol Amroth.
  2. Be always willing to lend their sword in service to Prince Imrahil.
  3. Never slay those who are innocent or pure of heart.
  4. Never conspire with the enemies of Dol Amroth.
  5. Never take what another has rightfully earned in battle.
  6. Never attack enemies from behind or steal their belongings.
  7. Never dabble in the arcane or abuse their special abilities.
  8. Never speak an untruth or represent themselves falsely.

Upon this Code do the heart and soul of the Knights of Dol Amroth unite, and to its fulfillment do we try to root out the evil in Arda, especially that in Southern Gondor.

Every member is expected to uphold the Code at all times, and those who seek to join must show that they can live by it before they are accepted. To see how members prove themselves under it, read about our ranks.
